Attackers have thrown rocks and glass at a march by Coptic Christians in Cairo, injuring 10, in the latest outbreak of sectarian violence less than two weeks before elections.

About 400 Christians marched through the neighbourhood of Shubra to mark the end of 40 days of mourning after sectarian clashes that killed 27 people, most Christians, witnesses said. During the march, attackers threw stones, bricks and glass from a six-floor apartment building, said marcher Hossam Victor. Clashes broke out and 10 people were hurt.

Mr Victor and other marchers blamed supporters of Gamal Saber, an ultra-conservative Islamist candidate in Egypt’s elections, set to begin on November 28. ”They rained rocks and glass down on us from the building, and the police stood by and watched without doing anything,” Mr Victor said.

President of Family Research Council, Tony Perkins, has called on Christians who voted for Obama to repent of their decision in the next election. Perkins said this while speaking to Dr. Dobson, president of Focus on the Family in a broadcast last week.

According to Tony Perkins, Christians should not vote for Obama because he is “hostile and disdainful” of religion. Perkins said that Obama has used his position as president to “bully pulpit” and has “created an atmosphere that is hostile toward Christianity.”

Tony Perkins, according to The Christian Post, made the comments while he was discussing a recent report that the Air Force Academy apologized for promoting a charity called Operation Christmas Child. The Christian Post reports the Air Force Academy issued an apology after Michael Weinstein, founder of Religious Freedom Foundation, complained that because Operation Christmas Child is a religious program, it was wrong for the Air Force to promote its activities over other religions.

Michael Weinstein lodged complaint after his organization, the Religious Freedom Foundation, received phone calls from 130 cadets complaining about the Air Force promoting Operation Christmas Child.

Tony Perkins, in the broadcast with Dr. Dobson, said:

“And we’re seeing this (hostility) played out all across this culture. And the courts have been emboldened by this. And now you see the military doing it as well. There’s no end to this as long as you have someone who is the Commander-in-Chief, who is the president of this country that has a disdain for Christianity.”

The Christian Post reports that president of Samaritan’s Purse, the group running the Operation Christmas Child program, had commented on the Obama administration about a year ago:

“I don’t think there’s any hostility [from Obama]. But I certainly think there are probably some people under him that would be hostile towards evangelicals. The evangelical community has been disenfranchised in this administration. I think they need to understand that there are millions of evangelicals that voted for President Obama this last election.”

Tony Perkins, in an interview with The Christian Post, alleged that the Obama administration had replaced the constitutional guarantee of “freedom of religion” with a different concept he termed “freedom of worship.” According to Perkins, the two are different concepts. What the U.S. constitution guarantees, according to Perkins, is “freedom of religion” and not merely “freedom of worship.” Perkins explained further:

“There is a huge distinction between the two. Freedom of religion is the ability to live your life based upon your religious teachings. Freedom of worship is what constitutes 9 to 11 am in most Churches on Sunday morning.”

Perkins said that recent court cases and developments in the U.S. military show that Obama is stripping Americans of their rights to live according to their religious beliefs. He referred to the Obama administration’s health care policy which he says forces Catholic institutions to provide health insurance to cover contraceptives. Perkins, who warns Christians to beware Obama’s “ramp up” of pro-Christian rhetoric as election approaches, said:

“Any Christian that voted for Obama in 2008 should be repenting [and voting differently] in the next election. This administration has been the most hostile toward religious freedom.”

God Discussion, in its report, gives background information on Tony Perkins and his organization Family Research Council (FRC). The website quotes reaction of Tony Perkin’s FRC when a Hindu priest was invited, in 2000, to say opening prayer in Congress:

“While it is true that the United States of America was founded on the sacred principle of religious freedom for all, that liberty was never intended to exalt other religions to the level that Christianity holds in our country’s heritage…. Our Founders … would have found utterly incredible the idea that all religions, including paganism, be treated with equal deference.”

God Discussion also quotes information by Right Wing Watch that FRC is a very anti-gay organization. The organization, according to God Discussion, recently asked its members to,

“…pray for the continuation of Malawi’s law prohibiting homosexuality, under which a gay couple was sentenced to fourteen years in jail.”

Nigeria is Zeroing in on Christians, seems a little harsh for a title no?, will not today. This is from the Atheist blog

The last work of pure evil is coming from a group called “boko haram” which is very much against the central government of Nigeria, and uses the same old tactics being used and implemented over the middle east for some time now, the indiscriminate slaughter of citizens of all ages to destabilize the power of the government and make life a living hell for everyone, with the exception of those defined as correctly religious.

The goal, also perfectly synched with all mid east terror groups, is a Sharia law country in which Islam calls the shots, even though Nigeria is a pretty big country with a mostly Christian based north, a Sharia law in Nigeria means very bad news to the Nigerian Christians – if it will happen.

Among the killing and slaughter of police officers and other people this group also remember to execute some of the real targets of radical Islamists, and makes sure to set fire to churches whenever possible, and to kill Christians as a bonus.

All of this should not surprise us, in a world that is blindly celebrating a so called “Arab Spring” which gives birth to new forms of totalitarianism many turn a blind eye and ear to the voices coming from Libya calling for Sharia law in the new country (combined with deadly violence in the name of Islam), the results of the elections in Tunisia which is turning into an Islamist radical country and the recent attacks on Christians and churches in Kenya and you get a clear picture. Small groups of local Islamic radicals are moving in on their targets, elimination of Christians from their environment.
