Sandra P. Aldrich
A Humorous Inspirational Speaker
Meet Sandra P. Aldrich, president of Bold Words, Inc. Sandra has written and spoken extensively on joyful living, marriage, and family issues, youth challenges, grief, single parenting and the effects of alcoholism upon the family. Her Kentucky storyteller style has made her a popular guest on numerous radio and television shows, including "Heart to Heart" of the "700 Club," "Prime Time America," "Mid-day Connection" and the "Focus on the Family" broadcasts. Sandra's often-humorous presentations feature the importance of solid relationships - to God, family, friends and self.
| Sandra encourages her audiences that we do NOT pray to air. She's known for handling life's serious issues with insight and humor while at the same time being down to earth. |
After Sandra's husband died of brain cancer in 1982, she was left to raise a 10-year-old son, Jay, and an 8-year-old daughter, Holly. Today, both are terrific young adults who continue to keep their mom on her knees (praying!) - and well supplied with speaking and writing material. Sandra holds a master's degree from Eastern Michigan University (and, she says a "Ph.D. from the School of Hard Knocks"). Her career includes 15 years as a public school teacher in the Detroit area, a stint as a community service representative for a funeral home chain (she was one of the experts called to speak to students when the space shuttle exploded) and nine years in Christian ministry that included several years as senior editor of Focus on the Family Magazine.
