Marilyn’s Story…One of triumph over tragedy...

Marilyn Williams is a testament to God’s love, power, and promises…a living example of being healed and transformed from the inside out. She has overcome the scars of childhood sexual, physical, and emotional abuse; the repercussions of a long-term eating disorder; a mental breakdown at the age of 24; and a past diagnosis of Multiple Personality Disorder. How does one not only survive but triumph over such tragic circumstances? It is only through Christ and the power of His Living Word. Those who hear her profound and victorious story are uplifted and captivated by her message. Most importantly, her audiences are inspired to pursue a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

At her side throughout her journey has been her husband, Mike. They reside in Oceanside, California where they have raised their two children over the past 20 years. Together they have devoted themselves to fulltime ministry, seeking to serve and honor God by blessing others through Safe Harbor Ministries, a ministry they co-founded and co-direct.

Marilyn loves anything and everything to do with God’s Word! She loves to read it, study it, teach it, process it and live by it! Marilyn is a transparent speaker, delivering biblical application for everyday living. One cannot help but be eternally and positively affected by her warm heart, sharp mind and clear communication skills on a variety of topics. An internationally known speaker, Marilyn desires all to know the truth that has set her heart free.

From small groups to large, Marilyn has a way of reaching right to the heart and showing women that no matter their past, present pain or life circumstance, Christ’s love is able to overcome and infuse them with a joy and peace that truly surpasses all understanding. Her natural gift for speaking, coupled with her grounding in the Word, Godly wisdom, and the beauty that oozes out of her as she describes the power of God to truly heal wounds and put broken things back together again, will touch everyone who hears her.

Marilyn’s passion for studying God’s Word has led to the writing of several Bible studies, devotionals and audio messages. These include She Did What She Could, Out of Our Pain and Into God’s Promises, and Advent Devotions…Change the Way Your Family Does Christmas. She enjoys leading small group Bible studies, one-on-one mentoring, and speaking at conferences, retreats, and special events around the world. In fact, Marilyn has had the privilege of speaking, teaching, and ministering to women of Armenia, Ivory Coast Africa, Japan, Korea and even the underground church in Iran.

Marilyn is currently pursuing a BA degree in Religion and Leadership. She loves shopping with girlfriends, dark chocolate, Diet Coke, family parties, spoiling her first grandson, and taking her German Shepherd and Standard Poodle for long walks with her husband.

Popular Speaking Topics

Many of these topics can be presented as a keynote, conference or retreat series.
Marilyn has more topics available and is also happy to work within your established event theme.

Transformed…a journey from despair to life-changing freedom

Suffering from the painful wounds of childhood abuse and stolen innocence, Marilyn’s dark past led her down a path that ended in complete emotional breakdown and a long and seemingly hopeless battle with multiple personality disorder. Her journey from despair to life-changing freedom is both encouraging and inspiring—a beautiful testament to how God specializes in putting broken things back together again. No matter your past or what challenges you may face today…Marilyn’s message will give you the courage and hope to overcome.

She Did What She Could...Encouraging women toward significance

It’s not “what” we do, but doing “what we can” that touches God’s heart. This is a practical and refreshing message focusing on women throughout Scripture who God used in ways unimaginable, simply because they did what they could. It will bring peace to the perfectionist as well as significance to the woman who cannot find purpose in her daily life.

Real Faith

What does real faith look like in a fallen and confusing world? Interweaving her own challenges of overcoming depression, doubt, and despair, Marilyn shares from the heart as well as God’s instruction of faith to His people. She focuses on the crucial elements of humility and transparency, community and connection, trust and obedience, and confidence and courage.

New Creation, Original Design

Like the process of restoring an old family heirloom, God has reclaimed you as His own and is in the process of restoring your heart back to His original design! This message is tailored toward developing intimacy in Christ and returning to that sweet place of unbroken fellowship with God in the garden of our hearts.

Out of Our Pain and Into God’s Promises

People tend to swing from two extremes of emotional healing: “Snap out of it!” or “Analyze until it buries you.” Marilyn brings a balanced, biblical approach by sharing her own journey out of pain from a severely abusive childhood and realizing God’s promises for her life as she overcame Multiple Personality Disorder. Marilyn delivers a message of hope and help for those who are stuck in anything from a bad hair day to a bad life.

Acknowledging the Advent Season: What’s in it for you?

Marilyn explains the timeless principles of past and present prophesies that fill our present Christmases with true joy and lasting peace. The Advent message explains the Advent season as an opportunity to rejoice in all God has done, is doing, and will do in the future. Change the way your family does Christmas!
